Announcement of Free Tractor Rental Scheme…Know who can use it and how
The world’s third largest tractor manufacturer, TAFE – Tractors and Farm Equipment Ltd., in its continuous endeavor to support the farming community and the government amid the second wave of the COVID pandemic, has announced the “Free Tractor Rental Scheme”. This is to help small farmers in this crucial time of farming. TAFE has introduced this unique and popular free tractor rental scheme for the second year in a row. This scheme can be availed from June 1 to July 31.
A total of more than 70,100 acres were plowed, while more than 213,500 acres of free cultivation were done all over India, this scheme was implemented in all districts of Rajasthan from June 1 to July 31, 2021. Available for a period of 60 days, during this period, TAFE will provide over 41,800 Massey Ferguson and Eicher tractors and 1,16,700 farm equipment, absolutely free of cost, to small farmers with one hectare or less of land.
TAFE Chairman and Managing Director – Mallika Srinivasan said, “The corona pandemic has brought to a complete halt the operations in rural areas at this critical time of the crop cycle.
So to help the farmers, we are once again providing a Free Tractor Rental Scheme for small and marginal farmers. With the continuous support of Government of Rajasthan, TAFE along with farming equipment to help the farmers in this critical time of agriculture. Massey will provide Ferguson and Eicher tractors.
We also express our gratitude to the Hon’ble Agriculture Minister and Agriculture Department for extending our support to the Free Tractor Rental Scheme.
