CBI raid in Dehradun, two accused arrested, know what is the whole matter
Dehradun : After the arrest of Mahendra Chauhan, resident of Chakrata in Dehradun on charges of bribery of one crore rupees, the CBI’s search is still going on in Doon. If sources are to be believed, the CBI is expected to get some papers and other material in Doon. This is believed to be the biggest case till date.
The CBI has also registered a case against Railway Deputy Chief Engineer Hemchand Bora, Assistant Executive Engineer Laxmikant Verma and the company’s director Pawan Baid. Mahendra Chauhan has been arrested from NFR Headquarters at Maligaon in Assam while two others Bhupendra Rawat and Inder Singh have been arrested from Dehradun. Both of them work for ABCI Infrastructure.
Let us tell you that on Sunday, CBI conducted raids in five states of the country. Uttarakhand is also included among them. In the capital Doon, CBI teams from Delhi conducted raids at different places of railway officials. SP CBI Panigraha has confirmed this raid. The matter is not about taking a bribe of 1 lakh two lakh or 50 lakh but of 1 crore. Let us tell you that everyone is shocked to hear the news that the CBI has arrested a senior railway engineer on charges of bribery of one crore.
Till today people taking small bribes had seen or heard but here the matter is of crores. Please tell me that the name of the engineer is Mahendra Singh, who has been arrested red handed by the CBI team for taking a bribe of Rs 1 crore. Not only Mahendra Singh but two others have also been arrested. The CBI has raided about 20 locations in five states. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raided 20 places in Delhi, Assam, Uttarakhand and two other states.
