Uttarakhand: Corona curfew will increase for one more week now

The next phase of Kovid curfew in Uttarakhand is believed to be extended for a week, although the government may increase the period of opening of markets by two hours.

Cabinet Minister and Government Spokesperson Subodh Uniyal said that the new SOP of Kovid curfew will be issued on Sunday. He has indicated to open the markets by 7 pm. At present, the markets in the state are open from eight in the morning to five in the evening. The government is going to take this decision after a steady decline in infection, although it is also worried about the third wave of corona.

Sources said that picnic spots, tourist places, recreational parks can also be opened on weekends on Saturdays and Sundays. On weekends, tourists have started returning to cities like Mussoorie, Nainital etc., but the surrounding amusement parks, picnic spots are still running. Traders of these areas are pressurizing the government to open them as well. These traders believe that when all the markets are open regularly, then there is no justification to close the picnic spot.

On the other hand, NTCA has also given permission to open all national parks and zoos in the state. These too can now be opened for wildlife lovers. For entry into Uttarakhand from other states, it will still be mandatory to show one test report in RTPCR and antigen. Only teachers and teachers can be called in schools and colleges before July
